Introduction

Dragon Warrior Monsters is the next game in the long series of Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest games that have become a big part of the growing fantasy role-playing genre. This particular game falls into the category of Pokemon-type games, where a trainer must round up a host of monster allies in order to defeat some big baddie. What makes this still part of the Dragon Warrior series is that all the monsters come from the old games. In addition, the hero Terry is the younger version of a hero from Dragon Quest 6.

Rather than re-explain the basic plot, I would suggest that you look at the Opening Scenes Section of this site. In short, your sister is kidnapped, and you follow her to a foreign land to rescue her. Before one of the kings will help you find her, you must win the monster battling tournament.

Upon getting your first monster from Pulio, you are free to romp around the world and look for more monsters. You are also free to explore GreatTree, which has quests, shops, and plenty of people to talk to.
