The first parent is the pedigree. When breeding your own
monsters, the one you select first determines the pedigree.
When breeding with another player via Game Link, each
player's monster determines the pedigree for the egg that
player recieves (breeding with an NPC works the same way -
the monster you contribute is the pedigree parent)
If a match of monsters could fall under two or more
different combinations, the game chooses the combination
to use in the following order:
First, a species + species combo is used if one exists.
Second, a species + family combo is selected.
Third, a family + species combo.
finally, a family + family combination if no more specific
combination is found.
In order to get your super team, you need to look at two factors:
1) What monster you want to have at the end, be it bosses or the most
powerful guys in each family
2) What skills you want them to have
More about this soon to come!
